I do and I will continue to support you Thank you Where is Christian discernment!
My beloved and I have not been to a cinema in ages either which has been really hard in one way as going to the pictures was what people of our generation did. But I am hard of hearing and the actors mumble but, living in a foreign country the subtitles are all in the language of that country. But the main reason is the appalling amorality of society today, I do not wish to watch people sexually cavorting about. Let’s face it, the actual act of sexual intercourse even between a husband and his wife is pretty comical at best and gross at worst, who wants to watch that? Admittedly it is not so for the married couple but I am sure it would be to any who might be watching.
I never went to watch horror movies, I think the worst one I ever watched was Midwich Cuckoos but that was because I had read the book by John Wyndham as I was a fan of his before becoming a Christian. I truly do not understand this desire to be frightened. But then I know that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom whereas the fear the enemy uses can kill, steal and destroy us if we let it. Also does it not suggest somewhere in the Bible that we ought to be careful what our eyes see and our ears hear?
Hi LA. If fear has a face then we can kill it. The Shining movie didn’t match the book because is about NASA mission Apollo not going to the Moon in 1969 for want of selling overpriced photographs and film of a Stanley Kubrick movie The Moon Landing. I am around Southbay region of California most of the time is Penneywise punk music territory amd can take pictures and ask questions to Lindberg or Dragged if you load me your idiom.
Go see “Overcomer”!!! GREAT CHRISTIAN movie! Went to see it last weekend and loved it.
